Assignments & Midterm

In-Class Assignments 
These flexible assignments are meant to provide instructors with the latitude to create meaningful in-class activities for points. Some suggestions are:
  1. Pop Quiz on Reading (individual or in a group setting)
  2. In-Class Application (i.e. SQ3R, Annotation, taking notes, etc.)
  3. Mini Group Presentation (i.e. teaching a topic, chapter, etc.)
Application Assignments 
These assignments provide students the opportunity to practice essential skills such as reading actively, taking effective notes, identifying resources, and applying other skills learned.  Electronic copies are available to you and your students in your course shell under Assignments.

Written Assignments & Projects
These assignments provide students the opportunity to enhance their writing, thinking and presentation skills while also reflecting on/demonstrating understanding of course content. Electronic copies are available to you and your students on the master course shell that you copy into the shell for your section.

  • Mindset Essay
  • College Success Fair Project (Topic & Outline, Handout, Presentation, Reflection & Works Cited)

Midterm Exam
You will tailor a midterm exam that covers content from weeks 1-8 with an emphasis on Chapter 10.  

Choose questions to include a combination of multiple choice, true and false, matching, short answer and essay to allow students to practice strategies for all types of questions from the following "test bank." AAA Midterm Testbank.docx Also feel free to add questions that you create and that might come from the midterm study guides that your students submit.
