Department Expectations and Policies
Overview
- Much of the success of AAA has been due to our instructors being engaged in learning how to teach the curriculum effectively, sharing ideas/successes and being part of a team of instructors committed to continual improvement. We strive to continue this tradition and expect instructors to participate in the following ways.
- Attend AAA faculty meetings and training sessions by phone or in person as personal and professional commitments allow.
- Follow the general AAA 090 curriculum including assignments and common syllabus.
- Utilize the D2L course shell grade book (at minimum) and other features as desired.
- Participate in course formative and summative assessment activities (pre/post assessment and course evaluations) and any other that are requested.
- Nominate students to the Catalyst leadership program when asked. Typically this is during the 8th week of the semester.
- Be observed by Department Chair/Asst. Director of FYE and/or peer coaches, participate in self-assessment activities and related continuous improvement/growth opportunities.
- Understand all information as outlined on the AAA Instructor Information Hub.
